Truth be told, I've never owned a DockATot. I know, I know, what kind of mother am I?! My kids are 18, 12, & 3, and boy do I wish I had had one. First impressions are everything, right? You can tell a lot about a company simply by the way they package their products and Dock A Tot clearly takes a lot of pride in theirs. I decided to go with the DockATot Deluxe+ in white because most of the children I photograph are in the newborn - 6 months age range. You're probably thinking, "White? Boring!", but hey, it goes with EVERYTHING. Lucky for you, they have a ton of different fabric patterns to choose from and if you are as ever changing as I am, they have covers so you can interchange them depending on your style and mood that day! After spending the day photographing and observing darling little Demi, in the DockATot and the ways her mother chose to utilize it, it is an essential for having somewhere to set baby all around the house while tending to your momm'in duties, but I also realized it would be so awesome for so many other reasons, like flying! Worried about taking your babe on a plane? Where will baby sleep? Where will baby play? Am I going to have to hold and soothe my baby on a 5 hour flight? Most certainly not! Your DockATot will save the day! Not only can your baby sleep in it during your flight, but baby can also play! DockATot has an add on feature for toy arch sets that you can purchase in addition to your DockATot. Although I cannot personally attest to this next statement, I will say that I research products thoroughly before I get behind them, and I have interviewed 10 people that have owned a DockATot that they have used on a daily basis and I have combed through the reviews on their website, and every single person I have talked to, and the general consensus on their website, is that babies are sleeping noticeably longer in their DockATot's than they would without, so sleep deprived mama's, take note! My only regret is not getting the Grand right off the bat. Go big or go home, right? I love the Deluxe+ , don't get me wrong, but it is also recommended for babies 0-8 months old (the baby I photographed above is 5 months old), so it depends on what you are using it for and how long you plan on using yours. Even though the Grand is recommended for babies and children 9-36 months, I would probably go with it from the get-go. {A little flatlay fun} I would highly recommend this product to new and expecting mother's. On a grading system of 1-5 stars, 5 being the greatest, I would give this product a 5 because of it's versatility, functionality, and comfort. Add the Dock to your Babylist registry!
